About the work
The boards might look okay from the yard, but then you step on one corner and the whole thing feels loose. Sometimes it's a bad footing. Sometimes the ledger was never flashed right. Sometimes the framing is just old and tired.
Indiana weather doesn't go easy on wood either — wet spring, humid summer, cold winter, then back again.
We build custom decks, replace old ones, repair damaged sections, install railings, handle composite and wood decking, screened-in porches, pergolas, staining, sealing, and commercial deck work.
What you can expect
You see the boards, the railing, the stairs. You don't see the footings, hangers, ledger bolts, flashing, beam connections, or the little choices that hold the whole thing together.
That's why we try to be clear before anything starts. We look at the yard. We look at the house. We check the old deck if there is one. We ask how you want to use the space. Then we give you a real scope — not a mystery number with half the details missing.
If the ground slopes, we bring it up. If the old frame is worse than it looked, we explain it. If a repair is enough, we'll say that too.
We're not here to overcomplicate it. We're here to build the thing right.
Our Services
A clean place to sit, grill, and walk out the back door. Sized to your yard, your house, and the way you actually use the space — stairs, shade, privacy, drainage, all of it.
We check before we patch. Joists, posts, ledger, hardware, water damage, movement. If a small repair is enough, good. If it isn't, we'll show you why instead of burying the problem under fresh boards.
When boards are soft, stairs are worn, and the frame has rot, replacement makes more sense than chasing it. We tear out, haul away, and rebuild — with a chance to redo the layout while everything is open.
Trex, TimberTech, and Fiberon. We walk you through textures, colors, heat behavior, and price points so you're not picking off a tiny sample board in showroom lighting.
Pressure-treated pine, cedar, and the trade-offs that come with each. Looks natural, costs less than most composite, and lasts a long time when it's built and maintained right.
Air and shade without bugs taking over dinner. Framing, screens, doors, trim, roof lines — we build porches that look like they belong on the house, not added on a long weekend.
When a deck or patio feels too open. Attached or freestanding, cedar or treated lumber, sized to give you shade without swallowing the yard.
Clean, prep, then finish. The prep matters more than people think — if the surface isn't ready, the stain will not hold the way it should.
A railing should feel tight, not 'probably fine.' Wood, composite, aluminum, cable, glass. The look matters; the connection matters more.
Restaurants, bars, offices, apartments, event spaces. Built for heavier use, code requirements, inspections, and timelines that can't slip forever.
Servers, scraping chairs, leaning customers, spills, sun, rain. We build patios for daily use — not just nice opening-day photos.
Tenants don't treat decks like their own backyard. Stronger framing, durable materials, secure railings, and a schedule that respects the property.
Loose railings and cracked boards at a business aren't just ugly — they're a safety issue. We handle worn boards, weak stairs, damaged railing, and rot before the area has to be closed off.

Why people hire us
Cheap deck work usually looks cheap later, even if it photographs fine the day it's finished. What we care about is showing up, building solid, keeping the job moving, and not leaving you with a mess or a bunch of half-answers.

How we build decks
Footings have to be right. Posts need to be set and supported properly. Beams need to carry the load. Joists need the correct spacing. Hangers, fasteners, blocking, flashing, and ledger attachment all need to make sense for the structure.
This is where bad deck work usually hides. A deck can have nice boards and still be wrong underneath.
Full-Service Deck Builders
You don't have to call one person for the frame, another for the railing, and another for the stain.
The quote explains the work, materials, and scope. If you ask for a change, we price it before doing it.
If we're fixing a deck, we look at it like builders — not just patching the surface.
Picky about materials
Some boards are fine. Some are bowed like a fishing rod. Some have splits, twist, big knots in the wrong place. We check what gets installed.
Twists, cracks, bad crowns, splits, soft spots, and obvious defects get dealt with before they become part of the deck.
If there is a real issue with the finished work, we come back and take care of it. No dodging calls.
A consistent crew makes a difference. People know the plan, the work moves smoother.
